Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American actor, comedian and activist She was born in the Soviet Union to Jewish immigrants and began her career after her move from Israel to the United States as a child actor. She came to prominence for her roles in AT&T commercials on TV as salesperson Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016 and , since then, until 2020. Her commercial appearances were not the only thing she was involved in. She also appeared on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015). Also, she was a regular on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016–2017). Vayntrub was also cast as Squirrelgirl for Marvel Rising in 2018 following her casting in the pilot TV series New Warriors. Vayntrub was Jewish born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. At two years of age She and her parents immigrated to the U.S. as refugees to get away from antisemitism. They settled in West Hollywood. Due to the family's financial problems, she started acting in Mattel Barbie commercials as a five-year-old. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School, however, she quit in her sophomore year. She she was able to get an GED and went on to earn an Associate of Arts in Communication from the University of California, San Diego. She was a part of the Upright Citizens Brigade, and learned the art of improv comedy.
